Energy systems are crucial components of sustainable development. Energy infrastructure can transform physical landscapes and ecosystems, reshape communities, and reveal realities about geopolitics. Likewise, energy is at the heart of environmental concerns where 70 percent of the world's waste originate from urban areas.
We firmly believe that adequate and affordable power is key for functioning societies. We seek to understand the complex relationships between energy, nature, society, and governance, exploring how to make these dimensions work in concert with, not in contradiction to, each other.
